Our Employment Support services offers to help those on a mental health recovery journey with job retention, support into paid employment and work experience. We support clients of mental health integrated teams (MINT) and early intervention psychosis (EIP).

The individual placement and support (IPS) service is a team of employment specialists with experience of working with people who’ve had mental health issues. For those who feel ready to search for, apply for and take up paid work, the service provides help to people as part of their journey to recovery.
The team has continued to grow since its inception in 2017 and now has a total of eight Employment Specialists, two team leaders and a service manager.
We deliver our IPS service across three boroughs – Hounslow, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham. We are currently in the process of supporting other services across the Trust including the Forensics service, eating disorders and those with a severe mental illness managed under their GPs.
We also work in partnership with Richmond Fellowship who delivers the IPS contract for Hammersmith & Fulham.
Our Employment Specialists engage local employers and attend job fairs to support their clients back into work. Meeting clients in the community is an essential part of the IPS and client recovery journey. This has resulted in clients moving into jobs at NHS, Sky Television, Local Authorities and Heathrow Airport for example.

Our Employment Specialists also co-facilitate employability courses with our Wellbeing & Recovery College peer trainers including, telling your employer about your mental health, criminal convictions and CV writing.
